These scholars have contributed their knowledge, time, and expertise to CICM during their time at the Brown School, and we wish them the best in all their future endeavors!
Fithi Andom will be working as a post-doctoral research associate at the ICHAD center in the Brown School. Her dissertation, “Impact of Parent Reported Adverse Experiences and Other Family Stressors on Child Development and Home Visitation Participation Among Immigrant Families,” was chaired by Melissa Jonson-Reid.
Jun-Hong Chen will start this fall as a tenure-track Assistant Professor at Saint Louis University School of Social Work. His dissertation, “How Household Economic Stress Matters: Family Functioning and Child Externalizing and Internalizing Behaviors,” was chaired by Brett Drake.
Maria Gandarilla Ocampo will be working as a researcher at Chapin Hall at the University of Chicago. Her dissertation, “Toward Improving our Understanding of the Implementation of Child Maltreatment Mandated Reporting Laws,” was chaired by Brett Drake.
Dylan Jones will be working as a post-doctoral researcher at Penn State this summer. His dissertation, “Dual-System Youth and Emancipating from Foster Care: Examining the Relations Between Delinquency, Independent Living Services, and Criminal Justice Involvement,” was chaired by Brett Drake.
