Yadi Tejeda, MSW

Yadira (Yadi) Tejeda was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She earned her BA in sociology and master’s in social work from California State University, Northridge. Yadi will be a 2nd-year doctoral student at the Brown School of Social Work. Yadi’s field experience includes working as a case carrying CPS Spanish-speaking social worker, supervising MSW students interning for CPS, and working with former foster youth at a community college. Her research interest is in the Latinx population involved with Child Protective Services. Yadi hopes to add to the Latinx experience in the field of child maltreatment research to understand and find best practices in working with this vulnerable population. Yadi enjoys listening to music and going on family outings with her son as a form of self-care.
