Hyunil Kim’s research focuses on developing the best possible evidence to help improve the safety and welfare of children and directly enhance our ability to address child abuse and neglect. He is a prior CPS caseworker and specializes in using linked large datasets and advanced statistical methods to advance child welfare knowledge. He has written key articles in the areas of child maltreatment, including cumulative risk, longitudinal/multilevel analysis, community risk factors, and racial/class bias in CPS.
